As said, your choice depends mainly on your personal preferences. In our opinion, ''regular'' wireless earbuds are better for workouts and true wireless earbuds are better for commuting and traveling. Things we like
Powerbeats Pro earbuds feature a sporty design with over-ear hooks and feel very solid and durable. The housings are coated and are IPX4 rated (splash-proof) which makes them perfect for sports.
Comfort is surprisingly good for a pair of earbuds. They are super-light and don't go too deep into your ears. The over-ear hooks improve overall stability and fit.
Controls are simple, intuitive, and responsive. You have the same controls on both earbuds – the multifunction ''beats'' button for playback/call control (short tap – play/pause/answer, double tap – next song, triple tap – previous song) and volume +/- button on top of the earbud. Things we like

You have the same controls on both earbuds so you can use them in mono or stereo mode. Each earbud features a multifunction button for playback/call control. There are no separate volume buttons but you can use the Soundcore app ( Android or iOS ) to assign volume up/down functions to the existing buttons (button mapping). The app allows you to play with EQ settings (20 EQ presets), to customize sound via HearID, and to update the firmware.

Things we like
Galaxy Buds look quite stylish but are kind of bulky and thick. They are made out of hard plastic and have shiny faceplates which are actually touch-sensitive buttons. The build quality is above-average. They don't look flimsy or cheap. The earbuds are only IPX2 certified and are not the best choice for sports.
Comfort and fit are satisfying if you have average-sized or large ears. If you have small ears, finding the right fit will be difficult.
The faceplates are touch-sensitive sensitive. You can assign different functions (volume/playback/call controls, Ambient Aware) to either earbud through the Galaxy Wearable app . Galaxy Wearable app will also allow you to check the battery status of each earbud and play with EQ presets. There's no app for iOS devices.
The most unique feature of these earbuds is the Ambient Aware. This feature will allow you to stay aware of your surroundings by letting a certain amount of ambient sounds in. You can even control the amount of ambient sound you want to hear.
Galaxy Buds feature Bluetooth 5.0. The pairing is simple and the range extends to 100ft under ideal circumstances (no obstacles). When paired with Samsung devices, the connection is perfectly reliable within the 50ft range but it's quite finicky when you pair the earbuds with an iPhone. Multipoint pairing is not supported.
The battery performance is quite impressive. The advertised playtime is 6h but the earbuds will deliver almost 7.5h at 50% volume. Unfortunately, the case will deliver only 7.5h (one additional charging cycle). So, in total, you'll get only 15h which is not on par with other earbuds on this list. The earbuds feature proximity sensors – the playback will pause automatically when you take the earbuds out.
The sound signature is quite light. The bass response is even and nicely balanced but somewhat underemphasized and it lacks some real impact. Playing with the EQ presets can improve the bass, but the bass heads won't be happy. On the other hand, the midrange performance is practically flawless. It's very clear, dynamic, and detailed. The same goes for the treble but with one minor flaw – there's some elevation in the treble response around 10kHz that can cause some sibilance and brightness.
Things we don't like
Comfort can be somewhat problematic. The earbuds are quite thick and bulky, especially when you are using the ear wings and it's hard to find the right fit if you have small ears. So, in case you have small ears, it's probably smarter to avoid Galaxy Buds.
The buds are compatible with iOS devices but there's no Wearable app for iOS so you won't be able to use all the features. Also, the Galaxy Buds Manager app doesn't work well on macOS and Windows. The app works best on Samsung phones/tablets and Android devices, in general. If you have an iOS device, it's probably better to avoid these.
The buds don't support multipoint pairing – you can't pair two devices simultaneously with the earbuds.

Their feature-set is quite impressive and their performance is on par with the price. Along with the Powerbeats Pro, MW07 Plus earbuds have the longest battery life and are great for all kinds of activities including sports and traveling.

Things we like
The first two things you're going to notice are unique design with squarish housings and impeccable build quality. The earbuds are quite rugged and very durable. They feature IPX5 water-resistant rating and are perfectly capable of surviving heavy sweating.
We were skeptical about the comfort, mainly because the earbuds look quite chunky but also because of the oddly-shaped comb-like ear wings. They are patented by the Master & Dynamic and they call them fit wings. However, the earbuds were surprisingly comfortable and stable.
Each earbud features call and playback controls. The volume rocker is located on top of the left earbud. The right earbud features the same-looking multifunction button which is used to activate voice assistant, answer calls, or skip songs.
MW07 Plus earbuds utilize Bluetooth 5.0 with an extended range. You'll get more than 100ft without obstacles (less than 50ft when there are walls and other obstacles). The pairing is fast. You can pair either one or both earbuds with your phone (mono or stereo). The connection is stable within the 50ft range. We haven't experienced any hiccups or signal loss. The Bluetooth chip features aptX support.
MW07 Plus earbuds are, along with Sony WF-1000XM3 , one of only a few true wireless earbud models featuring ANC. Active noise canceling offers decent performance but it's not on par with Sony's earbuds or ANC over-ear headphones. It attenuates a great chunk of high-pitched noise but doesn't work well with low-frequency noise.
The battery is one of the best things about these earbuds. When used in stereo mode with the ANC on, the earbuds will deliver 9-10h. In mono mode, the ANC feature turns off automatically (if you place the other earbud in the case), and you can get more than 11h of playtime in mono mode. Also, the earbuds support fast charge – you will get 5h of playtime after 15mins of charging. The batteries can be fully charged in less than 50mins (when using USB-C connection). The playback will pause automatically when you take the earbuds out thanks to built-in proximity sensors.
The sound reproduction is very accurate. The bass is present, well-textured, and punchy. It's not overemphasized or boomy. The midrange reproduction is almost perfect. The amount of detail is quite amazing, especially for a pair of true wireless earbuds. The treble is nicely balanced with the rest of the spectrum, without any noticeable peaks that could cause brightness. It's almost sparkling. Overall, MW07 Plus is a pair of great-sounding earbuds.
The mic performance is above-average. Occasionally, your voice will sound hollow or muffled but it will be perfectly intelligible.
Things we don't like
The only thing we don't like about MW07 Plus earbuds is the price. They are even pricier than the Powerbeats Pro. If you don't really need ANC feature, you should check out MW07 GO earbuds which offer similar sonic performance and battery life.

Their battery life is above average and their overall sonic performance is quite impressive. Things we like
The earbuds are very well built and feel quite durable. They are compact and look nice but aren't very ergonomic. Sony opted for elliptically shaped housings that don't really follow the contours of your outer ear. The nozzles and tips are angled and go relatively deep into your ear which should be enough to get a relatively stable and secure fit. However, that kind of fit is not good enough for sports.
Each earbud features touch-sensitive panels. You can use these panels to control the playback and answer calls. You can also use them to activate Quick Attention mode (aka Ambient Aware mode) or to activate Voice assistant. The earbuds come with the Sony | Headphones Connect app ( Android or iOS ) which allows you to assign different functions to different kinds of taps (including volume controls), turn on/off or adjust the ambient sound control, turn on/off the ANC feature, or adjust the EQ settings. The app has a very nice and user-friendly interface.
The earbuds feature Bluetooth 5.0 with an impressive range that extends over 200ft when there are no obstacles. When used indoors, you'll get 50-100ft of range. Pairing is simple and quick. NFC pairing is also supported. The connection is quite stable without any hiccups. The Bluetooth chip supports only two basic audio codecs – SBC and AAC.

The total playtime is 28h-32h (depending on the ANC).
The mic delivers above-average performance. Your voice will be a little bit thinner on the other end but it will be perfectly clear.
Active noise canceling works well. It's not exactly on par with industry-leading over-ear headphones but it's very good for a pair of earbuds.
The sound reproduction is quite detailed and rich and the frequency response is surprisingly flat. The bass is punchy. There's a subtle mid-bass/high-bass elevation which could cause some barely noticeable boominess. The mids and vocals are perfectly clear. The treble response is even and nicely balanced with the mids. There's a small peak around 10kHz that could cause some brightness but it's not extreme or fatiguing.
Things we don't like
The comfort can be problematic due to the odd shape of the earbuds. Finding the right fit depends highly on the size but also on the shape of your ears.
The earbuds support only SBC and AAC audio codecs. At this price point, we've expected more advanced codecs like aptX, aptX HD or Sony's LDAC.

I know what you're thinking. TaoTronic is a generic brand but that doesn't mean it's bad. Shure, it's not on par with pricier models made by more reputable manufacturers but there are at least a few things to like about them. They have a pretty rich feature set (IPX6 rating, aptX HD support, inline controls and mic), their sound signature is quite bassy, and the battery life is truly impressive. You won't get advanced features like the ANC but that's completely understandable and expected at this price point.

Things we like
The earbuds feature familiar design with two earpieces connected with a flat cable with inline controls and mic. The earbuds have magnetic ends so you can wear them around your neck when not in use. They look kind of cheap but still solid enough for a pair of inexpensive earbuds. They are also IPX6 certified which makes them a good choice for sports.
The fit and comfort are above-average. Once you find the right ear tip/wing combo, you will get a perfectly secure fit.
The controls are pretty generic. You have probably seen this control scheme many times before. There are three buttons and you can use them to control the playback, volume, and to answer calls. The control pad also houses a micro USB charging port.

Things we like
The design of Spirit X reminds us of Powerbeats Pro earbuds but with a cable connecting two earbuds. The earbuds have large over-ear hooks which, combined with in-ear wings and silicone ear tips, provide great fit and stability. Considering the price, the build quality is very good, but the cable is too thin and looks flimsy. The earbuds are IP68 certified (fully dustproof and waterproof) which makes them perfect for sports.
Unlike Powerbeats Pro earbuds, Spirit X earbuds have inline controls, located on the right end of the cable, right under the right earbud. There are three control buttons that you can use to adjust the volume, control the playback or answer calls. The control pad also houses a micro USB charging port.

The bass response is not extremely extended, but there's a strong emphasis on the mid-bass and high-bass frequencies and this emphasis defines the sound signature of Spirit X earbuds. Things we don't like
